(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – A new application server is now supported by eApps. On Wednesday, the web hosting provider announced compatibility with JBoss 7.
Highlights of the application server include a “powerful” administrator console, Java compliancy, quick startups, less RAM requirements, and more.
Discussing the matter in a press release, eApps President Rick Lingsch stated, “JBoss is an important part of our Java offerings. JBoss 7 provides performance, power, and ease of use.”
“We are proud to continue our long heritage of hosting JBoss applications and expect to do so for a long time,” Lingsch continued.
Linux operating system CentOS 6 is required to run the application server. Meanwhile, Jboss 7 itself makes use of management from OnApp and is provided for by a “64 bit Xen based Virtual Machine.”
