(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – While the latest preview of Microsoft Windows 8 may be getting all the hype, more information regarding another high profile company product was also recently made available.
On Thursday, Microsoft revealed that it had released Windows Server 8 in its beta form. Microsoft’s corporate VP Bill Laing discussed the matter via the Windows Server Blog, stating, “In Windows Server “8” we are delivering high availability and disaster recovery through software technology on much more cost effective hardware.”
Since its initial introduction, the platform has proven to be a popular operating system for server operators. New features of Server 8 include enhanced disaster recovery, new Hyper-V technology, and more management for more than one machine.
The beta release of the platform follows a September 2011 preview of OS. For more information regarding the matter, view a blog post by Microsoft’s Bill Laing here (blogs.technet.com)
