(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Around Denver, Colorado, colocation provider Latisys has a data center that makes up 76 thousand square feet.
Now the provider is ready to increase its presence in the area by adding another facility. On Monday, Latisys revealed that they were building another data center that will cover 82 thousand square feet of space and provide fiber network access.
As a tier three data center, the project is being built on the company’s campus in the area.
Discussing the matter in a press release, Latisys Denver Regional Sales Director Bryan Walsh stated, “This investment is not only important for Latisys; it’s a significant capital investment in the Denver market.”
“By adding a state-of-the-art data center and enhancing our high-availability hosting and cloud platform, Latisys is addressing a critical need for companies looking for a provider that can deliver flexible, end-to-end IT solutions,” he continued.
A highlight of the facility is its 10 megawatt performance. However, the company plans to add even more upon a later stage.
Meanwhile, Latisys CEO Pete Stevenson discussed his company’s goal to provide “infrastructure-based IT Outsourcing solutions.”
As a company, Latisys provides hosting services such as virtualization, managed servers, managed VPN, managed firewall, and more. Aside from its data center presence in the Denver area, the company also has facilities in Illinois, California, and Virginia. For more information on Latisys, visit: http://www.latisys.com
