MailChimp Announces Expanded Integration with ExpressionEngine

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – MailChimp today announced the launch of ChimpanzEE, a brand new integration with the popular web publishing platform ExpressionEngine. ChimpanzEE is the easiest way to integrate email marketing into your ExpressEngine-powered website, providing everything from member subscription to creating and sending campaigns, all without leaving your site. Businesses taking advantage of ExpressionEngine’s platform now have the power to harness their full email marketing potential.

ChimpanzEE uses ExpressionEngine’s well-known templating & tagging systems to bring almost all of MailChimp’s functionality into EE. Just by inserting one simple ExpressionEngine tag, users can create sign-up forms associated with any of their MailChimp lists, incorporate all of their merge fields and completely customize the design via CSS.

ChimpanzEE makes keeping track of list health easier than ever. Users can watch their lists grow through built in reports. Total subscribers, unsubscribes, new sign-ups, activity levels and engagement are all visible from inside ExpressionEngine. Plus, basic list management functionality like adding and removing subscribers is available as well.

ChimpanzEE’s custom email templates streamline the campaign creation process by using ExpressionEngine’s powerful template system. Now users can create as many custom email templates as they want. Adding content is easier too. Upload content to ExpressionEngine once and ChimpanzEE uses your templates and entries to automatically pull together a new email campaign. Users can test and send their campaigns without ever leaving ExpressionEngine.

Once a campaign has been sent, ChimpanzEE pulls in campaign reports and analytics from MailChimp into ExpressionEngine including open, clicks, forwards and more.

ChimpanzEE was developed by DigitalWaxWorks as part of MailChimp’s $1 million integration fund. For more information on ChimpanzEE and the hundreds of other integrations to launch from the integration fund, visit
