McAfee Antivirus Founder Wanted for Murder in Belize

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – An internet pioneer who revolutionized the antivirus PC industry recently found himself in a rather peculiar situation: Wanted for murder.

That’s right, John McAfee, notable founder of antivirus provider McAfee is wanted for questioning regarding the killing of a neighbor in Belize. According to a Reuters report, McAfee’s neighbor Gregory Viant Faull, was found murdered with a shot to the head.

However, McAfee has refused to speak with authorities regarding the matter and is currently in hiding.

“You can say I’m paranoid about it, but they will kill me, there is no question. They’ve been trying to get me for months. They want to silence me,” the antivirus pioneer told Wired Magazine. He also insists he’s innocent, emphasizing he was framed. McAfee was said to have a tense situation with neighbors who didn’t care for the dogs he kept on the property.

The antivirus founder, a U.S. native, retired to the country following his company’s sale to Intel for a reported price of over $7.6 billion in 2010.
