Melbourne Server Hosting Added to Google Street View

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) –  Melbourne Server Hosting, the Manchester tech company whose offices were recently voted among the 10 coolest offices to work in the UK, has become one of the first UK hosting companies to feature on Google Street View.

A virtual tour of the server hosting company’s award-winning office at Lovell House on Manchester Technopark is now available at Customers and potential clients can take a ‘walk’ through the office, using cursors to travel in different directions or zoom in and out to get a better view.

360spin, a virtual tour photographic agency based in Manchester, created the panoramic view of the Melbourne offices.

Nicola Williams of 360spin, who holds the coveted title of Google “Trusted Photographer” in Manchester, said, “Walking into the Melbourne Server Hosting office is like walking through Alice’s looking glass. Who would imagine that I would see a rose garden complete with yellow brick road, a Narnia themed room and a tiger too? It’s definitely an office with a difference!”

Rajesh Joshi, Brand Manager for Melbourne Server Hosting, explained, “Our offices are an embodiment of the way we do things. By looking after our staff and giving them a comfortable and fun office to work in we make sure they look after our customers too. Many of those customers are based across the UK and around the globe, so with Google Street View’s help we can now welcome them into our home, wherever they are.”

Not content with a simple tour of the office, Melbourne have also left some unexpected items and messages around the office for Google Street Viewers to find, including a crocodile, a tiger and a cryptic code.

Melbourne Server Hosting is part of iomart Group plc, one of the UK’s leading cloud computing companies, which recently announced a multi-million pound investment in a new super-fast fibre network to provide even greater connectivity to its customers.
