(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – An expanded portfolio is soon to be the result of the merger of two northeastern-based web hosting companies. Announced on Tuesday, the move will combine providers Access Northeast and Xand.
Together, services by the companies will account for solutions in the areas of colocation, enterprise and managed hosting, disaster recovery and more.
“Xand and Access Northeast both share a strong commitment to providing excellent service and innovative solutions to our customers,” commented Xand CEO David Struwas in a press release regarding the matter. The two companies account for data center facilities in U.S. states including Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
The move is set to create a leadership shakeup. Current Access Northeast CEO Rob Stephenson will move to the position of Chief Marketing Officer. Meanwhile, the companies emphasized that the combination will provide enterprises with “better implementation of their strategic business continuity and disaster recovery plans” in states where the data centers are located.
The merger follows an October announcement in which it was revealed that Xand would be acquired by private equity firm ABRY Partners. For more information on the matter, view a press release here (accessnortheast.com).
