Microsoft Announces New Features For the Xbox One April Update(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft has revealed some new features that will be coming to the Xbox One via the April update.

According to Xbox, the new update introduces improvements to the Blu-ray player, as well as a planned update for the player app. Now the player supports 50Hz video output for content recorded at this quality.

Also added is a firmware update to the controller and headset adaptor that reduces audio static and offers improvements to the wireless connectivity.

Following the release of the April update, players will no longer have to physically power on their consoles if it is in Instant On mode. In this mode, consoles will automatically update and return to standby when finished.

These new features are available to the early access members that have been selected to preview new system updates for the Xbox One.
