(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft’s new Window 9 operating system, dubbed Threshold, is expected to make it debut late next month, according to recent reports.
The tech giant is expected to hold a special press conference on September 30th to unveil the new OS, though an official announcement has yet to be made, reports eWeek.
Some of the new features rumored to be included in the system are virtual desktops, a new “mini” Start Menu, the removal of the Charms bar, integration of Cortana, new cloud integration, Metro-style apps that run on separate windows on the desktop, and various UI changes.
Windows 9 is expected to be available spring 2015 as a free update, with a beta released in the fall.
