(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella, made a big announcement yesterday that excited many users; he announced the availability of Office for the iPad.
At an event on Thursday in San Francisco, Nadella announced that Word, Excel, and PowerPoint would be making its way to Apple’s tablets.
“Our goal continues to be to delight users wherever they are and on whatever device they are using by giving them the full power of native Office apps,” says Microsoft’s blog.
Nadella’s announcement comes almost a year after the tech giant released Office for iPhones in June.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are now available from the AppStore. The free version allows users to read Word documents, present with PowerPoint, and view Excel documents, while the Office 365 subscription gives users the ability to edit and create new documents.
