(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft Office for iPad was released last week and is already proving to be a good move for both Microsoft and Apple, as the Office apps are ranking high in the App Store’s top charts.
The free version of Office allows users to read, view, and present documents, while the Office 365 subscription gives users the ability to edit and create new documents.
Office for iPad allows users to view and edit documents with others, open documents on other platforms while keeping the same format, use a built-in virtual laser pointer, dictate reports directly to Word by using Siri voice dictation, and use Apple TV to move documents to a video wall or projector through AirPlay, ComputerWorld reports.
Other helpful features include the use of review tools, the easy editing of pictures and transitions within a document, and a useful Office for iPad guide.
