(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft on Friday announced that it had begun inviting Xbox members to join public beta testing for the latest Xbox Live update – something that the company says improves “overall performance.”
In addition to that, the biggest thing the update adds is the ability for users to carry out transactions with local currency – something later this year expected to replace Microsoft points.
“Unlike our previous beta programs, sign up is now accessed directly through your Xbox 360 console to streamline the experience. Space is limited, so once the spots are filled the beta will be closed to the public,” stated the company via MajorNelson.com.
Microsoft also recently announced the Xbox Live Game Sale – something that featured titles like Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, Assassin’s Creed 3, Max Payne 3 and Crysis 3.
