(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – One thing we know for sure from Microsoft’s recent purchase of Mojang is that Minecraft will be making its way to the Windows Phone… eventually.
When asked by a Minecraft fan on Twitter to promise to bring the open world game to Windows Phone 8.1 and Surface devices, Xbox Head Phil Spencer replied with a simple “Yes.”
Currently the game is available to play on almost all platforms, including iOS and Android, though not on Windows Phone.
Microsoft announced the $2.5 billion purchase of software company Mojang last Monday, stating that it will add diversity to their gaming portfolio and help bring in new players to their franchise.
The tech giant noted that the development, sales, and support of all other platforms such as PlayStation and Mac will not be affected by the purchase.
