(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – During Microsoft’s earnings report today, the company confirmed that it cancelled plans to release its Surface Mini tablet.
“During the quarter, we reassessed our product roadmap and decided not to ship a new form factor that was under development,” said CFO Amy Hood.
Hood added that its “current year cost of revenue included Surface inventory adjustments resulting from our transition to newer generations devices and a decision not to ship a new form factor,” according to a report from TechCrunch.
Late last month a Surface Mini leak was spotted in the user guide of the Surface Pro 3, referencing the tablet multiple times.
Additionally, the Mini was supposed to make its debut at a Microsoft Surface event in May, though reportedly got pulled last minute.
