(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Ethernet adapters are no longer working for ARM-based Surface RT tablets. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean some form of a fix isn’t in the works.
According to a report from ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley on Monday, “dependable sources” have confirmed that external Ethernet support is something definitely planned for Surface RT devices.
Microsoft, meanwhile, refused to comment on the possibility in ZDNet’s report.
Unlike RT, Ethernet adapters have remained still notably functional for the Surface Pro.
Surface devices have received whopping price cuts recently. In July, Microsoft dropped its RT tablet line by a $150 and just earlier this week, revealed it’d drop 64GB and 128GB models by $100.
