(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – On Wednesday Microsoft announced that it to would be entering into the smart watch market with its new watch, the Microsoft Band.
This new device features 10 sensors that act as a fitness tracker, GPS, and heart rate monitor. Notifications, payments, and touchscreen are also available on the watch.
Users can sync the Band with their smartphones such as Windows Phone, iOS, and Android.
According to PCWorld, the device can last around 2 days on one charge, which takes less than two hours to fully charge. Though it is not waterproof, it can “repel splashes.”
Additional features include a 3-axis gyrometer, ambient light sensor, skin temperature sensor, ultraviolet light sensors, capcitive sensor, and a galvanic skin sensor.
