Microsoft Will Bring the Xbox One to China This September (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The Xbox One will be making its way to China soon, making this the first gaming system to move into the country in 14 years.

“Launching Xbox One in China is a significant milestone for us and for the industry, and it’s a step forward in our vision to deliver the best games and entertainment experiences to more fans around the world,” says Microsoft’s corporate vice president of marketing and strategy, Yusuf Mehdi.

China recently released its censorship rules for console games following the ban 14 year ban that was removed earlier this year.

According to GameSpot, the Chinese government’s censorship rules will not allow games that promote gambling, drugs, violence, or obscenity, as well as “anything that harms the nation’s reputation, security, or interests.”

Microsoft will release the Xbox One in China this September, making the console available in 42 countries worldwide.
