(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Microsoft and Sony have been in a neck and neck tie in the gaming console war, with Sony leading the sales.
The Xbox One’s sales have recently sky rocketed with the launch of Titanfall, boosting sales by 96%, reports GameSpot.
In a recent interview with VentureBeat, Microsoft corporate VP Phil Harrison reiterated that the war with Sony is a “marathon, not a sprint.”
“We’re 120 days into our platform lifecycle. We’re happy with our plan. We’re happy with the performances of our key franchises and key partnerships, most notably Titanfall in the last couple of weeks,” said Harrison. “You can see independent surveys and studies showing our sell-through doubling in the U.K. as far as hardware.”
Currently the PS4 has sold over 6 million consoles while Microsoft has yet to update its 3.9 million sales it revealed in January.
“We have a fantastic lineup we’ll reveal more of at E3 and beyond. We have a lot of great surprises to come.”
