(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Just recently, Minecraft for Xbox 360 developer 4J revealed the title had reached of six million in sales.
The announcement was made via the company’s Twitter page. The title was just released in May of last year for the popular Microsoft console – quickly setting a record for Xbox Live’s arcade category.
4J also recently noted it’d be releasing Title Update 9 on April fifth – something that adds a wide range of new features to the game . The launch follows a certification period carried out by Microsoft.
In Minecraft, users seek to survive in a 3D-pixelated world while gathering resources, constructing shelters and fending off enemies. Overall, the game’s PC version has sold more than 9 million – according to stats tracked via Minecraft.net.
