(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Starting tomorrow, Minecraft players will be able to purchase the PS3 edition of the popular block building game in stores.
Mojang announced last month on the PlayStation blog that the game will be accessible in “real-life stores” and added that the disc version “comes with all the features you’d expect from the console versions of Minecraft, along with everything that came with update 14, including Emeralds, Ender Chests, potatoes, and more.”
The PS3 version was released on December 17th and has been downloaded more than 1.5 million times from the PlayStation Store.
The developer is also working on releasing Minecraft on PS4 and PS Vita, with a expected release date in Q2 or Q3 of this year.
Minecraft is currently available as a digital download on the PS3 and Xbox 360, with both versions also having retail copies in stores after the Friday release.
