(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Many users have been eager for the official release date of Minecraft on the PS3 and PS Vita. Unfortunately, those dates still have not been confirmed yet, but there has been some insight shared regarding the title.
Jens “Jeb” Bergensten, lead designer of Minecraft, posted on Reddit’s forum to users that “The PS Vita version is being developed by 4J, and will be closer to the Xbox Edition than the Pocket Edition. If there will be any cross-platform compatibility, it would be with the PS4, but that’s just a speculation.”
This is good news for users who like to play on the go. The Minecraft: Pocket Edition doesn’t offer users as many features and textures as the Xbox version does. Additionally, it is also a lot “easier” to play.
Earlier this week, 4J Studios confirmed the release of Minecraft on the PS3, where it was originally intended as a release title for the PS4.
