Minecraft PS4 Edition Fails Sony Certification Testing, August Release Date Unlikely

Minecraft PS4 Edition Fails Sony Certification Testing, August Release Date Unlikely (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – It looks like the PS4 version of Minecraft may not be receiving an August release date after all, as developer 4J Studios announced yesterday that the game failed Sony’s certification test.

“Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of #MinecraftPS4 : (“ wrote 4J via Twitter. “We’re fixing, but we need to go through the process again.”

Minecraft: PS4 Edition was submitted to Sony on August 12th, and with this set back, it doesn’t look promising that we will see a release by the end of this month.

There has been no recent news on the Xbox One and PSVita editions of the game. As of August 12th the developers were still bug fixing both versions.
