(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Minecraft creator Mojang is busy readying a new aspect of the popular title.
According to a Q&A by the company yesterday, the platform known as “Minecraft Realms” will provide users a simpler way to perform multiplayer.
“A select group of players now have access to the Minecraft Realms limited alpha test. Minecraft Realms is a service designed to let players play on a server together with minimal setup, and will be available to the public later this year,” commented Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan.
If you’re hoping to get more insight on the offering now, too bad, it’s still in closed beta with invite-only status.
It is a subscription service and will feature availability for Minecraft pocket edition. Meanwhile, the company emphasize it wouldn’t change how things operate now, it’s simply something “additional.”
