(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Minecraft will be receiving a new update on Thursday geared towards adding new features and fixes for Realms on the PC edition.
“How does this release affect you? If you are not playing on Realms, it does not change anything at all,” says the developer. “The main advantage is that we don’t have to release new updates for Minecraft 1.7.x in the future, if we want to add new features to Realms.”
According to a blog post from Mojang, the new update, 1.7.10, adds a world uploader, a player activity monitor that lets you see how long someone has been online, access to more server settings, improvements in Realms UI, and the ability to command blocks.
Realms were made available worldwide last month for PC and Mac users, making it easier for players to host Minecraft worlds online.
