(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Fans patiently awaiting the release of the Xbox One, PS4, and PSVita versions of Minecraft may have to wait a little longer, as new evidence suggests the popular video game may be delayed a month.
A recent UK TV ad for the PlayStation Vita, slated to launch in August, displayed a “out in September” text, leaving many wondering if this new date will extend to the console versions.
Today developer 4J Studios released an update about the game via Twitter, stating that the team is still working on fixing bugs.
“We’re still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We’ll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing teams!”
Certification testing usually takes a couple of weeks, so it is very possible that we may not be seeing a release until September.
Minecraft’s development team has not yet announced a delayed release.
