(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Minecraft developers have given an update concerning the Xbox One, PS4, and PSVita releases of its popular block building game.
Yesterday 4J Studios tweeted that the PS4 version has been handed over to Sony for final testing, though the Xbox One and PSVita editions are not quite ready yet.
“We’re still bug fixing #MinecraftXbox1 and #MinecraftPSVita. We’ll give you news when we have it.”
Mojang announced in May that all three versions would be launched sometime in August, though neither developers have given a specific date.
The Xbox One and PS4 versions are said to feature “significantly bigger worlds and a greater draw distance”, with the new versions 36 times bigger than those found in the current editions.
All three versions will be priced at $19.99, though players with the older consoles will be able to transfer their saves to the new consoles for a small fee of $4.99.
