(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Minecraft will continue to expand its platforms. Developer 4J Studios recently confirmed the game would become available for Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
Microsoft Corporate VP Phil Harrison made the news at the ongoing E3 conference in Los Angeles, according to a report from Joystiq.
So what new things will Minecraft deliver when it arrives for Xbox One? Harrison noted it would add features such as “more multiplayer” and “bigger maps,” noted the report.
Meanwhile, 4J is also considering letting users transfer their Minecraft 360 saves to Xbox One consoles. The game studio was recently asked about the matter via its Twitter account. Here’s what they had to say: “It would be great to do this, and we are discussing it with Microsoft.”
Minecraft for Xbox 360 quickly became the top seller on Xbox Live Arcade when launched last year.
