(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – When Minecraft Xbox One and PS4 Editions come out in August, players can expect to see “significantly bigger worlds and a greater draw distance,” says Mojang’s Owen Hill.
The new versions will be 36 more times bigger than the worlds found in the Xbox 360 and PS3, reports The Guardian.
“The worlds in the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be 36 times the area,” said 4J Studios co-founder Paddy Burns. “I don’t know if we can go much bigger than that, but we’re looking into it. “
4J Studios confirmed earlier today that Minecraft PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita will be making a debut at next week’s E3 tradeshow.
When asked by a fan if they are busy working on the next gen consoles, the developer responded by saying,” Yes, busy preparing E3 build of #MinecraftPS4, #MinecraftXboxOne and #MinecraftPSVita.”
Along with the next-gen releases, the developers are also releasing a PS Vita version that is bundled with the PS3 edition, with all releases priced at $19.99.
