(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – A new playable character has been announced for NetherRealm Studios upcoming fighting game, Mortal Kombat X.
During the Evo fighting tournament this past weekend, the developers released a gameplay video revealing the newest fighter in the series, Raiden.
The footage displays three versions of the iconic character, Thunder God, Displacer, and Storm Lord Raiden, each with their own fighting styles.
According to the video published by MKIceAndFire on Saturday, Thunder God Raiden focuses on electrocution combos, Displacer Raiden uses teleportation, and Storm Lord Raiden uses lightning traps.
Raiden marks the seventh playable character to be announced so far for MKX. Others include Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Cassie Cage, Kotal Kahn, D’Vorah, and Ferra/Torr.
Mortal Kombat X is expected to launch sometime in 2015 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
