(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – On Wednesday, Motorola unveiled its new phone, the Moto G. This unlocked smartphone can be purchased without a contract and runs on Jelly Bean.
The Moto G is reasonably priced for a no-contract smartphone. The 8GB is priced at $179 and the 16GB is $199. With the purchase of the phone, users will receive and extra 50GB of Google Drive storage for two years for free.
TechNewsWorld reported that Motorola spokesperson, Kristine Mulford, commented on the Moto G by stating that it “is designed for people who may be purchasing their first smartphone or love Android, and want the very best of Google Mobile Services, and who do not want to compromise on quality, style or experience in the name of affordability.”
The Moto G features a 4.5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and runs on a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. Camera features include slow motion video, LED flash, 4 x digital zoom, and panorama capability.
Motorola will upgrade the Moto G to “Kitkat” software in January 2014.
