(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – A version of Mozilla’s Firefox web browser is finally arriving for Microsoft Windows 8’s metro interface. According to a report from Techno Buffalo on Friday, the release will happen on December 10th.
The news was recently made available through notes from a Mozilla meeting held last week, noted the report. A “metro-ized” version was reportedly described.
Mozilla previously worked to launch a preview version of a Windows 8-based browser in October while an official launch was set for January. The latter, however, never happened and it looks like this holiday season will deliver some Firefox cheer with the December-slated release date.
Firefox is among the most popular web browsers, only ranking behind Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
