(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Ouch! Apple fan boys and girls wanting to get their hands on the company’s new and ultra-thin 27-inch iMac won’t get a chance to do so until after Santa has arrived in January: That’s according to shipping estimates now listed through the company’s online store.
The smaller-sized version of the same computer, however, is already available for shipping and users can receive it within 7 to 10 business days.
A report from The Register, meanwhile, noted that the UK Apple Store lists the 27-inch computer as becoming available in three to four weeks, generally around the same time as the anticipated US release.
While waiting just less than a month isn’t long at all, the computer’s release after December doesn’t really make it an ideal Christmas gift.
Apple initially unveiled the 27-inch iMac in November alongside the iPad mini. The computer is available in both 2.9 and 3.2GHz versions and features an Intel Core i5 processor.
