The next Apple TV will be launched alongside the next generation of iPhones in the autumn, paving the way for a digital TV subscription service in the near future, according to reports.
Rumours initially suggested the Californian company intended to showcase the new set top box at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June, but it was deemed unready at the time. Now the product will be part of the iPhone launch event slated for September, according to BuzzFeed.
The fourth generation Apple TV is said to feature a touch-pad remote, extra inbuilt storage and Siri voice control for browsing and selecting programmes and films to watch. The company’s much-rumoured digital TV subscription service is likely to follow early next year, sources said…
