(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – For many, pay-as-you-go pricing models simplify things. They don’t require clients to plan too far ahead or commit to resources they may never even use. Lately, such payment plans have been unveiled by more and more hosting providers.
Steadfast Networks, a company offering services including dedicated, cloud and colocation unveiled new costs for its cloud services on Monday. Steadfast Networks initially unveiled its cloud solution in June of last year. Aside from simply providing the pay-as-you-go model, the move signaled large pricing decreases for particular features included in the company’s plans.
In the area of CPU pricing, costs have dropped down 20%. Meanwhile, pricing on bandwidth and memory experienced the biggest drop, representing a 25% and 50% decrease respectively.
“The goal of our cloud platform is added versatility and a simplified client experience, and we feel this true on-demand pricing brings us closer to our goals,” stated Steadfast Networks President Karl Zimmerman when discussing the matter in a press release. Zimmerman also cited “great” customer feedback when discussing the new payment structure.
Features of the Steadfast cloud include iOS app access, no contract requirements, tech support, unlimited VM’s, unmetered bandwidth, SAS storage and more.
Steadfast Networks manages its services through data centers located in the U.S. cities of Chicago and New York. In March, the company helped Chicago students by teaming up with Supplies for Dreams. For more information regarding the matter, view blog post by the company here (steadfast.net).
