(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – The “Broadwell-U,” a minutely small core processor chip by Intel is overtaking the tech industry in 2015. The company’s fifth-generation chip has shrunk the chip’s transistor size down to 14 nanometers (nm), a fraction of the thickness of a strand of human hair, to provide tech devices with better battery life and performance.
According to Tech Expert Karl Volkman, Chief Technology Officer at SRV Network Inc., this design will beckon a new wave of super slim devices. “In the year ahead, laptops and tablets will be thinner than ever before,” says Volkman. “Intel has been investing billions into manufacturing next generation processors and is looking to further shrink the chips to create slimmer and quicker tech products.”
