New MacBook Pro Specs and Performance (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple introduced its new line of MacBook Pros last week, adding faster processors and more memory to its entry-level laptops.

Now the $1299 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display comes with a 2.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.1 GHz, 128 GB of flash storage, and 8GB of memory, up from 4GB in previous models.

The entry level 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display now features a 2.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.4 GHz, 256GB of flash storage, and 16GB of memory starting at $1,999, while the “top-of-the-line” 15-inch MacBook Pro’s RAM increased from 8GB to 16GB with a lowered price of $2,499.

Additionally, Apple has lowered the starting price of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, without Retina, to $1,099, with the entry level 15-inch starting at $1,999.

These new enhancements and lowered prices can be seen at retailers and Apple Stores.
