New Version of the Apple TV Rumored To Be Released in the First Half of 2014(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) –  Apple is reportedly “well into testing” in the development of the new version of its Apple TV, reports 9to5 Mac.

Not to be confused with the rumored Apple TV set, the new product will be completely revamped with a system based on iOS.

According to iLounge, the company will be updating the new Apple TV with gaming content, adding a “Game Store” on the device.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs had big plans for revolutionizing the TV, by stating to biographer Walter Isaacson that he would  “like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine.”

The new Apple TV is rumored to be released in the first half of 2014.
