(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – At this week’s E3 game festival, Nintendo Direct delivered new titles in hopes of boosting the company’s somewhat struggling Wii U console along with games for 3DS. Most were classics. Below we highlight just some:
–Pokemon X & Y: The new 3DS game is set to introduce the new Pokemon type “Fairy.” Another feature is called “Pokemon – Amie,” a feature that lets users feed, pet and play with their Pokemon characters. The games will be released on October 12th.
–Super Mario 3D World: Set to launch for Wii U in December, the title features cat Mario.
-Mario Kart 8: Coming out for Wii U, racers can go upside down, glide through the sky, ride motorcycles and race underwater. Availability is set for Spring 2014.
-Wii Party U: Uses the Wii U gamepad with 8 new mini-games (some playable with just the gamepad). The game has been pushed back from its original summer release.
-Wii Fit U: Nintendo noted availability is now set for December.
-Art Academy: A new installment is in development. You can use pencils, color pencils and pastels on the gamepad.
Meanwhile, Nintendo is working to develop other games for series including Zelda, Donkey Kong and more Mario (Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U). You can watch the entire presentation from Nintendo below:
