(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Fans hopeful of a Minecraft release for Ninendo consoles will have to keep waiting because Minecraft developer, Markus Persson, confirmed on his Twitter account that there is currently no plans for a Wii U version of the game.
“I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft. I agree a Wii U version would make sense, btw. The only reason for no current plans is we’ve got too much work already. I <3 Nintendo.”
Mojang is currently working on the release of the PS4, Xbox One, and PS Vita edition of Minecraft, which is set to be released later on in the year.
Earlier today, 4J Studios told fans of the work they have in the coming weeks in order to fix PS3 issues, which was released December 17th.
“Happy New Year everyone! We’re now back at work – looks like we have some nasty PS3 issues to fix, then on to TU14 and other platforms.”
