(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Technology provider NVIDIA last Thursday unveiled what could be considered a groundbreaking device for the graphics industry: A GPU that possesses the fastest frame rates available.
Known at the GeForce GTX 780 GPU, the card provides for titles like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Watch Dogs.
Components of the GPU rely on Kepler with 2,304 cores along with 3GB of “high-speed” GDDR5 memory.
Most impressive, the tech specs make the release 50% more powerful that GeForce’s last release. Meanwhile, another cool feature of the card automatically ups GPU clock speeds.
“The GeForce GTX 780 delivers the fastest frame-rate and smoothest animation at a value never before seen in PC gaming,” stated NVIDIA’s Scott Herkelman via a press release.
Herkelman continued, “This level of performance allows gamers to become fully immersed into a game the way the developers originally intended.”
Pricing for the GPU is set at $649 and available from suppliers including ASUS, Gigabyte, Galaxy, Colorful, EVGA, PNY and more.
