(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – While the 3D virtual headset known as Oculus Rift continues to receive rave reviews, company CEO Brendan Iribe has kept busy pushing the device with developers.
Iribe also recently indicated he’d like to see Oculus Rift receive compatibility for highly anticipated consoles including the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
“We just want this to work, ourselves. We want to put on a headset and for it to be awesome. We’re going to try our best to make the very best experience, the very best VR device. We’d like to see it eventually become compatible with consoles, but right now we’re mostly focussed on the PC side – we’d love them to come up with something,” Iribe stated in report from VG247.
Interestingly enough, Iribe also said he’d like to see VR headsets from both Microsoft and Sony.
The Oculus Rift initially received funding via a massive Kickstarter campaign.
