Online Retailers Push 'Bitcoin' Use on Black Friday(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Thousands of shoppers descending upon U.S. retail locations won’t be the only thing happening on Black Friday. This year’s huge shopping discount day promises to be a bit different from previous ones. In fact, you could say it’ll be a bit “bitcoin” different.

The increasingly popular digital online currency will have its own Black Friday of sorts as a number of websites discount their offerings in exchange for accepting your bitcoins, according to a report from CNN on Tuesday.

Participating in Black Friday for bitcoins will be top dating website OKCupid, plane ticket provider Cheapair.com, Reddit and Free Press, among others.

In other Bitcoin-related news, it was announced recently that Virgin Galactic would begin accepting bitcoins as payment for tourist space flights.
