OOPS! Microsoft Security Update Removed After Errors

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Conflicting software resulted in Windows maker Microsoft pulling a recent security update, a CNET report noted Friday.

The company’s Dustin Child later discussed why the update known as “2823324” was pulled.

“We’ve determined that the update, when paired with certain third-party software, can cause system errors. As a precaution, we stopped pushing 2823324 as an update when we began investigating the error reports, and have since removed it from the download center,” Childs explained via the Microsoft Security Response Center.

Meanwhile, the company had released the update to address an exploit issue.
