Oracle Estimates Google Lawsuit In Billions

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Google is being sued by technology company Oracle for billions of dollars, it was revealed on Thursday.

While the initial lawsuit was filed in August of last year, what Oracle was seeking had remained unknown until the new court document was released yesterday.

Oracle has accused Google of ripping off its java designs and Reuters recently reported that the trial may start in November.

In an emailed statement to Bloomberg, Google disputed Oracle’s claim, saying “Oracle’s ‘methodology’ for calculating damages is based on fundamental legal errors and improperly inflates their estimates.

Oracle specializes in database management and is headquartered in Redwood Shores, California.
