(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – While Grand Theft Auto 5, commonly abbreviated “GTA 5,” may only be headed to consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 thus far, that doesn’t mean we won’t see the highly anticipated game running on the PC platform sometime in the future.
According to a report from The Escapist on Wednesday, a job listing was recently posted by developer Rockstar Games, stating, “Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.”
While that’s in no way confirmation, it does provide an exciting hint. The report suggested computer compatibility could be provided via ports. Meanwhile, it is possible that other popular Rockstar games including Red Dead Redemption could be ported as well.
As it stands now, Grand Theft Auto 5 would be the first game in the series not to include Windows compatibility. The title is set to be released for consoles on September 17th.
