(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The website for popular scripting language PHP (PHP.net) on Thursday confirmed it had faced a malware attack compromising two of its servers.
Currently, PHP.net isn’t exactly sure what method was used to compromise its system.
“All affected services have been migrated off those servers. We have verified that our Git repository was not compromised, and it remains in read only mode as services are brought back up in full,” stated PHP.net via its website.
Meanwhile, to deal with the issue, the website has revoked php.net’s SSL certificate and has moved forward with adding a new SSL certificate. The organization is also resetting php.net user passwords
The issue itself was thought to have occurred October 22nd through 24th.
