(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Attention to those still owning a PlayStation 2: GameStop plans to stop accepting trade-ins for the gaining console and its accessories on June first.
PCMag.com recently published a report with a photo purporting what appeared to be a sign indicating the discontinuation.
Meanwhile, it was also reported that some GameStops had ended trade-ins for the console last month.
The PlayStation 2 was first launched back in 2000. In January, Sony said it’d finally discontinue the device’s production following thirteen years.
Sony is expected to release the PlayStation 4 in time for 2013’s holiday season. We’d say the PlayStation 2’s had a pretty good run.
