PlayStation Vita Sales on the Up Following Price Cut

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Sales for Sony’s handheld PlayStation Vita console are on the rise following a price drop rolled out by the company.

According to a report from geekygadgets.com, the boost was evident in stats by Media Create made available on video game forum NeoGAF.

Sony reportedly sold 62,543 units of the product in a week concluding March third. A similar sales boost, meanwhile, was noted in the Japanese market where the Vita also received a price drop.

The handheld console was originally available for a whopping $299.99 but fell to $199.97 at select retail locations. The PlayStation Vita was released in North America back in February.
