(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – In an attempt to boost its tablet sales, Apple’s suppliers have reportedly started production on the new iPads that are rumored to be launched this holiday season.
According to Bloomberg, citing “people with knowledge of the matter,” production on a “full sized” 9.7-inch tablet has already begun, along with a new 7.9-inch iPad Mini.
The 9.7-inch iPad is expected to be released by the end of this quarter or the beginning of the next quarter, with the new Mini tablet available by the end of the year.
The tech giant’s tablet sales have continued to see a decrease as the popularity of bigger phones increase.
RBC Capital Markets analysts Amit Daryanani explained that Apple’s “weak spot” has been its tablets, noting that a “refresh could stabilize the iPad’s revenue and profitability contribution to the company.”
Apple is said to be gearing up for the launch of many new products for the holiday season, which will include two new iPads, the iPhone 6, and a new wearable iWatch, added Bloomberg’s sources.
