Providing Infrastructure, Go Daddy Unveils ‘Cloud Servers’

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Top domain registrar and web hosting company Go Daddy unveiled its latest cloud solution Monday. Simply titled “Cloud Servers,” the infrastructure offering provides cloud server storage which features a considerable amount of bandwidth: 100 gigabytes.

Pricing for the platform comes with two options. Users are either able to pay by the hour or go on a plan that charges a monthly rate of $93.49. Features include load balancing, firewall protection, a private network, three IP addresses and more.

Discussing the matter in a press release, Go Daddy CEO Warren Adelman said it was his company’s “primary mission to help businesses grow through our cost-effective, reliable, feature-rich products.”

“Cloud Servers is a Go Daddy innovation that takes the complexity out of a complicated technology, yet gives users a substantial range of sophistication,” continued Adelman. Meanwhile, the company appears to be angling its service to compete with similar solutions from Rackspace and Amazon Web Services.

Last month, Go Daddy made news when it revealed that the company had received 2 million installations of popular blogging platform WordPress through the company’s application installer, Hosting Connection.
